Principal Junior School - Ms. Kunika Sharma

After pursuing a career in HR for a few years, Ms Kunika Sharma, a post-graduate in English and Business Administration, finally discovered her true calling as an educator. She joined Bhavan Vidyalaya in 2005 as a PRT and initially taught Class I. Over the past 18 years, she then taught a wide array of classes, right up to Class XII, took over as HOD English in 2020 and has now assumed charge as Principal Junior School.

A passionate teacher and a firm believer of holistic education, she incorporates and advocates a creative and practical approach towards teaching, with special emphasis on empowering the students with self-confidence, crucial life skills, empathy and sturdy values that have become a necessity in today’s highly competitive world.

Always ready to lend a helping hand to students and colleagues alike, Ms Sharma has played a significant role in various spheres including being an active part of the editorial team for the school’s newsletter and Yearbook, being MC for several events of the school and grooming students for the School Cabinet as well as various oratory competitions and events. As Coordinator and HOD English, she facilitated the professional and personal development of the members in her department. In addition, she also played an active role in lending a helping hand in raising funds for the Interact Club’s projects through various artistic endeavours, assisting in providing educational opportunities for children from underprivileged backgrounds. 

Ms Sharma was conferred with the Nation Builder Award for the year 2018, by the Rotary India Literacy Mission, in recognition of her outstanding services as a teacher.
